Chiropractic and Motocross

Top-level athletes have long believed in the value of chiropractic. Now add motocross riders to the list of athletes that includes, among others, professional golfers and football players.
Motocross is a sport in which riders drive high=performance motorcycles through a course of joltin jumps. At the 2007 LG Action Sports Championship of Freestyle Motocross (FMX) held in September in Pomona, California, emergency care, chiropractic and soft-tissue treatment was provided by the Southern California University of Health Sciences in conjunction with “2 The Rescue”, a self-titled “extreme medical group”. Chiropractors, along with other health providers, acted as first responders and as treating doctors. Chiropractors have also been on duty at professional bull-riding events, an activity not dissimilar to the bumping, banging and high=torque demands of motocross.
A professional athlete seeks chiropractic care for a primary reason: The performance of his or her body is directly related to making a living. If chiropractic care can help a professional athlete perform better, just think what it could do for you. Visit a chiropractor for an examination and some talk about possible benefits.
